Sez Says – Apect Gold SMC

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet.

After a manic month of work and a cheeky trip to North Queensland my skin was well and truely under the pump.

Multiple makeup looks per day, and zero makeup free time will always have a negative impact upon your skin.

Travel often leaves my skin dehydrated, dull and lack lustre. Now with winter in full force hydration is of the upmost importance when caring for your skin. A product that single handedly got me through the past month was the Apect GOLD SMC – Super Moisturising Complex. Let me tell you they were not mucking around with this bad boy full of cell targeting ingredients it certainly packs a punch.

Aspect Gold SMC contains nutrients and cell targeting molecules leaving skin feeling and looking nourished smooth and plump. Ingredient combinations of Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium PCA for hydration. Potent antioxidants in the form of Green Tea, Grape Seed Extract and Oil Soluble Vitamin C to combat aging. Combined with fruit extracts of cucumber and Canadian Willow Herb to nourish, condition skin and braided protect against free radicals.

Applied twice a day morning and night I found I was able to maintain a hydrated complexion without looking oily.

Anyone who’s been following for a while now knows that I adore aspect as a brand but this baby may be my new favourite secret weapon. My skin just drank this up and it’s now a must have staple in my bathroom cupboard.

Follow with some clear eyes and lip balm and you’ll look refreshed, hydrated and ready to take on the work week.

Pump Up The Volume –

Just when you thought it was all over.

I’ve decided to come back John Farnham style one last time and add an impromptu third part to my hair series..

As previously discussed here and here I’ve highlighted the key tips, tricks, products and treatments that in my opinion all work best to grow out a bad hair cut as quick as possible.

I’ve practiced these day in day out for the past 12 months and I can tell you they absolutely worked a treat. My hair with a bit of time and patience was restored back to its original length **cue happy dance.

However.. One thing I wasn’t counting on was the loss in over all thickness and volume that occurs when you choose to hastily cut bangs. Logically it makes sense, the hair has to come from somewhere I guess.

As a result despite my hair back at its original length, I was no longer able to achieve the thickness and volume I desired without constant styling and the use of volume products.

So, after advice from a few hair industry gal pals I decided to visit the team at Emilly Hadrill Hair Extensions for some volume Tape Extensions to add a bit of dimension. Prior to my visit I was a Hair Extension ‘Virgin’ not knowing much about the process or what to expect.

I’ve always been cautious of extensions as I’ve seen some real doozys over the years. So as with anything beauty related I did my research and found Emilly Hadrill who has salons all throughout Australia offering premium hair extensions. Every girl who’s hair I’ve admired and to be perfectly honest didn’t even realise wore extensions are a client so I knew I was on to a winner. They cater to all desires whether it be length, volume or a complete hair glamour package. Specialising in numerous application techniques including wefts, tapes and microbeading.

I expressed my desire to keep the look as natural as possible, only wanting to add a few tapes for volume without increasing the length.

After my initial consult and colour match we agreed upon 100 grams of Invisi Tapes in two varying blonde shades scattered throughout.

A week later I returned to their Melbourne Salon and we began the process as follows..

Step One:
Hair was washed and blow dried straight. Extensions are then toned to match if required, however in my case they were an exact match #LuckyGirl.
Step Two

Extensions/Invisi Tapes were added throughout my hair with a primary focus of filling in the gaps around my face. #KimmyKVibes

Step Three
Hair extensions were then trimmed to desired length – For me that was to align with my initial hair length as I was purely seeking volume.
Step Four

Hair was then styled and photographed to death.

Before & After. Va Va Voom

So there you have it, amazing how much impact a little extra hair can have overall. Extensions do take a bit of an adjustment and require a few new hair products for maintenance. But the team at Emilly Hadrill go through this all in depth ensuring that you get the absolute most out of your extensions for as long as possible.

The whole process takes about an hour and a half, slightly longer for me as I get a bit chatty.

So for now off I go, sauntering into the sunset enjoying my new luscious locks. Before I return back to the salon in 5 weeks for my maintenance where I will have the extensions replaced higher as my hair grows.

Any questions on my experience please leave below, or contact the lovely ladies at Emilly Hadrill Hair Extensions for service related questions.

Product Spotlight – HALO by Dermal Hub – Sez Says

I will never forget my first visit to a Dermal Clinic. I was 20, and suffering from some pretty severe cystic and hormonal acne.

My initial consult with the team at Victorian Dermal Group was eye opening to say the least. I was so enamoured with fixing my acne that I never stopped to consider my skin health overall.

The defining moment for me was when I saw my skin photographed under the Ultra Violet light displaying all sun exposure and pigmingation. I was shocked at just how much sun damage my 20 year old skin had endured, not to mention the risks of Skin Cancer and Melanoma. Thankfully most of it had yet to reach the surface and i still had time to correct . I vowed right then and there to make a change and have been a lover of all things sun protection since.

SPF 50+ Sunscreen, Sunglasses and Baseball caps are my go-to’s all summer long keeping me SunSmart and the UV damage at bay.

I’ve never been one to settle for mediocrity so when I heard about the launch of an innovative sun shield that offers 99% UVA and UVB protection I knew I had to give it a whirl.

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you..

HALO – By Dermal Hub

So what exactly is it?

The HALO face shield is a Sun protective visor. It encompasses a UV 400 Protective film – UV 400 is considered the highest form of protection provided by lenses against Ultraviolet Radiation .

Why do you need it?

The HALO works as a defence on the most sensitive part of your skin (the face). Blocking harmful UV rays as a first defence against sunburn.

Used in conjunction with sunblock, the HALO visor can minimise the risk of skin cancers and melanoma.

As an added bonus to your skin health, it also works to lessen wrinkles, spots and discolouration bought on by direct sun exposure.

Why do I love it?

In my opinion this baby is completely changing beach culture. It’s chic and fashionable but also super practical and most importantly SunSmart. It’s completely transparent when worn so enables me to sit and read a book or scroll ‘the gram’. It decreases sun exposure to not only the face and neck but also for my eyes and I’ve even been rocking it on my daily walks (copped a few stares I’ll be honest).

Overall, I highly recommend any product that encourages SunSmart practices coupled with  anti aging benefits, all while looking fashionable AF!

A Win/Win in my book and a fantastic addition to my beach bag used in conjunction with sunscreen.

.. and for the cherry on top of this SunSmart Sundae I feel it important to add HALO by Dermal Hub is designed here in Melbourne with all materials sourced in Australia.  #SupportLocal

Boxing Day Best Beauty Buys #SezSays

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet…

Because it’s Christmas time, presents need wrapping, roasts need roasting and ain’t nobody got time to be sitting around reading essays.

With the impending Boxing Day Sales I thought I’d share with you all my personal faves and the products you’ll find routinely used in my own make up kit.

While I’m a advocate for and user of drugstore brands, I do have my selects at a slightly higher price point. Many of the brands are rarely ever on sale with the exception of Boxing Day, so what better time to splurge with the Christmas money you got from Nana.

1. Charlotte Tilbury – Light Wonder Foundation

This is my go to when I need a foundation with a little more coverage than a BB cream but still want to retain radiant dewy skin. It also contains SPF making it ideal for day to day wear. Shop Here

2. BECCABacklight Priming Filter

If you love a dewy finish, then you’ll love this primer. I’m a recent convert after receiving a sample to try and I can say it’s my favourite primer yet. It even works great on its own to give skin a natural boost and glow and also pairs great with my drugstore foundation. Shop Here

3. Charlotte TilburyHollywood Flawless Filter

I love a product with multiple uses especially if it’s at a higher price point then I can justify it #BangForYourBuck. CT Flawless Filter is that for me. First introduced to me by a Makeup Artist friend this can be used on the face alone, applied before foundation, mixed in with foundation or even used to highlight key areas of the face. I have it in a range of light and darker shades and use accordingly throughout the year. Shop Here

4. NARS – Liquid Laguna Bronzer

2018 was a big year for me, it was the first time I stepped away from traditional Bronzing Powders and tried a liquid for the first time. What I love most about the Nars Liquid Laguna is that it allows you to create more definition. It’s not too heavy but is also buildable making it perfect for use both day and night. Shop Here

5. Charlotte TilburyBrow Lift

Please excuse me while I get sentimental here for a moment.. but this was my first Charlotte Tilbury purchase and what made me fall in love with the brand. Powders have never really been a favourite of mine for brows so I always stick to pencils. I find the CT to be an incredible cream pencil that glides on well, and the triangle pencil shape mimicks fine brow hairs perfectly. Shop Here

6. LancômeGenifique Yeux Eye Cream

Good skin starts in the prep work. I’ve noticed in particular this year by regularly using a nourishing undereye cream my foundation glides on seemlessly and I require far less concealer. Genefique is my top pick for its gel like texture that your skin just drinks up. Shop Here

7. Giorgio Armani – Luminous Silk Foundation.

Luminous silk in my opinion is the absolutely OG of foundations. It glides on to skin to cover imperfections without flattening. I find my skin still looks like skin but at its absolute best; soft, supple and dewy. I could rave for days about how much I live for this foundation but it does have one draw back.. the price point. I guess you can’t skimp on quality. Trust me I’ve tried all the dupes but nothing can replicate this formula. So if you find this baby with even a subtle discount Boxing Day, jump on it (also please slide into my DM’s as I’m all about stock piling).

8. James Read Gradual Tan H2O Tan Mist

Sun Protection is my numero uno skin care tip and as a result my face never sees direct sunlight. SPF 50+ and Caps make sure of that, they also are responsible for my face permanently retaining a ghastly pale white shade. I adore subtle colour and find tanning mists to be ideal for the face. My current fave is the James Read; it smells phenomenal and can be built up over time, making it ideal for Summer through to Winter. Shop Here

9. NARSRadiant Creamy Concealer

Another holy grail favourite this concealer is one that has no replacement. It’s a unicorn among inadequate concealers and to date the only one I’ve found that covers and conceals without caking. I save it purely for special occasions and use cheapers ones day to day.  So I can say it’s worth the splurge. Shop Here

10. BenefitGimme Brow

For the perfect brushed brow look I can’t go past this beauty by Benefit. Used sparingly it adds a subtle colour, while setting brows making it the ideal finish for any brow look. Shop Here

Scents to splurge on.

If makeup isn’t your thing, or if Santa already stocked you up then here are my top 3 fragrances of the moment!

All available at David Jones + Myer renowned for killer Boxing Day bargains.

Dior- Miss Dior

A subtle scent with a combination of Rose and Rosewood this is my pick if you love something feminine.

A white floral fragrance cut with darker undertones. If I were a fragrance it would be this. The perfect combination of light with a subtle edge.

Jimmy ChooFever

My newest addition to the repertoire. With top notes of black plum and grapefruit tied back with sandal wood it’s a welcome spin on the Jimmy Choo signature collection.

I’ve linked based upon where I usually purchase these brands from but recommend shopping around to grab the best deal. Or better yet embrace the sales in person to experience true Boxing Day Beauty Madness

Happy Shopping

Sez Says – Luscious Locks – Hair Growth Tips. PART ONE

Ok, I’ll admit it.

The New Year got the better of me.
I got a little caught up in the whole ‘New Year, new me’ thing and did something a little irrational.

I chopped all my hair off, which within in itself isn’t that big of a deal. But in true Sarah style, I went a step further and elected to get some sassy bangs to go with it.
The realisation that this shorter do was in fact more high maintenance than my longer hair, and that I didn’t have the bone structure or hair type to pull it off came fast. As a result I immediately began the battle to grow it as quick as humanly possible.

In a world of special ‘vitamins’ and gummy bears that are constantly in our faces promoted by influencers and celebrities as the holy grail for hair growth. I wanted to be real and transparent about the tips and tricks I’ve personally used, and can vouch for.

I’m not going to sugar coat it ladies, it takes time. No matter how many tips and tricks I give, you have to be patient. You have to deal with the tricky/awkward/unattractive stages of growth. (If you’ve ever grown out bangs you’ll be well aware of the period of time where you start to resemble Keith Urban). But it’s worth it in the end when you finally have those luscious locks you’ve always wanted.

(Hair growth from Feb – July, read to the end for my current length)

Hair colour.
The first thing to consider when trying to grow your hair is your colour service. How much maintenance is involved, and how much it will hinder possible future growth?

Once I made the decision to fully commit to growing the cut out, I debated whether or not to go darker. Constant bleaching or exposure to peroxide can certainly slow the process, but I’m far too committed to #BlondeLife to take that route. So after some advice from my colourist, we opted for a root shade and face framing foils. This ensured that I still looked super blonde which enabled me to cause less damage to my hair by constantly colouring with a full head of foils.

Olaplex – my absolute best bud in terms of strengthening and maintaining hair integrity. The girls at Vision Blonde have been using it in tandem with my colour for nearly 2 years and my hair condition has improved SO much. I’m a natural brunette so with constant colour and heat styling, breakage is one of my biggest concerns. Couple that with a desire to grow length it wouldn’t of been possible without the Olaplex range.

Looking after your colour doesn’t stop in salon, in fact it’s how you treat your hair in-between appointments which makes all the difference. Opaplex No3 has been an absolute game changer for me, and I’ve been vigilant with at home routine using it religiously once a week as a treatment. It works to continue the reparative process that’s begun with your in salon colour treatment. I use it weekly to help repair new damage and it also helps to maintain my colour. Olaplex No 3 is applied first before shampoo, not after (which I only found out 6 months ago #oops) to towel dried hair, combed through and left for a minimum of 10 minutes. Anyone who knows me well knows I take my treatments very seriously. I tend to go hard which means I may leave it on overnight and have once or twice (for efficiency purposes) been guilty of repping it at the gym. My life motto – Work smarter not harder.

Over the past few months I’ve been trialing the new Olaplex No4 shampoo and No5 conditioner and am pretty obsessed thus far. A little goes a long way and I’ve have noticed a pretty impressive improvement in density. It’s very hydrating and works to improve shine and manageability. While I don’t think these are absolute must buys if you’re in the market and want to optimise hair growth and quality I highly recommend.

Hot stuff
After spending time and effort strengthening and preserving hair quality, the last thing you want to do is undo it in the styling stakes. A lot of girls practice great hair care only to burn and singe hair within an inch of its life through constant styling. My advice for quicker hair growth: Avoid heat styling as much as possible. To girls who love a Wave: this will be a bit of a sacrifice. I’ve found working as a model difficult as you rarely get a say in how your hair is styled. Therefore I really had to limit the amount of self-styling I was doing at home. This meant often opting for a messy bun up-do or just embracing the straight.

Protect yourself
I’m realistic about heat and styling tools, there is absolutely no way I could of committed to going heat free for 9 months. Props to the ladies that do, but I love a textured wave too much to go completely go cold turkey. My final tip and possibly the most important recommendation…

Thermal Protector. This goes far beyond anyone wanting to promote hair growth and quality. Do not put heat to your hair without it. Honestly I cannot stress this enough. I am relentless and will carry a bottle with me to jobs in case the hair artist doesn’t have any. My current go to is the Extinguish Thermal spray with Argan oil from De Lorenzo. It helps shield hair from breakage and split ends. It is essential for protecting hair against heat damage and works with Argan oil to smooth providing the perfect humidity resistant finish.

I could go on for days about all the little tips I’ve tried over the past year but these are my absolute best of the the best.

Although my hair journey doesn’t end here this is only Part One I’m pretty happy with the results so far..

I am constantly on the lookout for new products and treatments to try, so if any of my readers have recommendations or experiences please do share bellow I’m all ears…

Thanks for Reading,
Sez xx

Spring Racing – Spray Tan Edition

Spring Racing is finally upon us, and with bright and bold colours on trend this year it’s important to carry this look through to your beauty routine. Nothing elevates a fashion look more than a golden natural tan. Unfortunately, unless you’ve been one of the lucky ones sunning yourself in Europe (not me) you’re going to need some extra help. Fake it till you make it… right?

For the perfect faux golden glow my current go-to brand would be Spray Aus. Their two-hour formula achieves the perfect natural looking tan. I find it just a touch lighter than other brands I’ve previously used, making it ideal for race day. For daytime events such as spring racing, it’s important to err on the side of caution and opt for something light, remembering you can always add more but it’s impossible to go back.

A two-hour tan works best in my opinion as it’s a great way to achieve a bit of colour without that obvious spray tan look.

Almost as important as the tan itself is the preparation and aftercare. To regular spray-tanners these are common practice but can ultimately be the difference between looking like a golden goddess or someone who’s just rolled in a bag of Doritos.

  • Book your appointment 1-2 days out from your event.

I find that if I can get in at least two showers it helps the colour to settle and achieve a more natural looking flawless tan.

  • Thoroughly exfoliate skin.

I like to start this process a few days prior. Exfoliating ensures a more even tan with less build up or patches. For those who fake tan regularly this also helps to remove all previous tan from the skin.

  • Test patch skin

If trying a new brand for the first time this is important to ensure there aren’t any adverse reactions. If you are prone to skin conditions, it’s best to contact a dermatologist prior to any spray tan. It’s also handy to opt for a solution that is all natural or organic. I find Eco Tan to be the best on the market for those with sensitive skin.

  • Top up or use extenders to reach your desired colour.

As previously mentioned it’s far easier to darken a light tan than it is to go back.
Usually 2-4 hours is enough processing time for me. If after showering I feel I require more colour, I’ll use the Spray Aus Tan Extender (a moisturiser with a touch of colour that works as a gentle enhancer). I also routinely use the Spray Aus Tan Mist to extend the life of the tan on my face, as it tends to fade there first.

  • Leave your tan on longer than required.

Remember that your tan is being seen in direct sunlight in the middle of the day, anything too over developed will look orange and obvious.

  • Use moisturiser makeup or perfume prior to spray tanning.

This can leave you with patches and an uneven tan overall. Arrive with clean skin and avoid using deodorant if possible.

  • Use soap or body wash when showering after a spray tan.

This will cause the tan to be removed in uneven patches. Avoid rubbing or exfoliating the skin as well and ensure you remove the solution in a gentle sweeping motion.

  • Wear tight fitting clothing.

This can remove the tan in areas before it has a chance to develop. Aim for loose baggy dark clothes to avoid the solution transferring and staining.

Leave your skinny jeans and white tank at home

Finally post tan make sure to use a hydrating moisturiser to help nourish your skin and pro-log the life of your tan. I absolutely adore the Coconut Balm from THIS IS RAW, it is super hydrating and smells incredible.

Follow these steps and your tan will be a sure winner race day.

Happy racing

Sez Says – Aspect Dr

About two months ago, I did something a little crazy..

I ditched my entire day to day skincare routine and replaced it with a brand I’d never used before.

I’m a creature of habit when it comes to skincare. While I’m always up for trying a new serum, mask or treatment here and there my go to basics pretty much stay the same. An advocate for routine and consistency some are shocked to know I havent changed my daily products in nearly 4 years.  If it ain’t broke don’t fix it… right?

Previously I’ve battled some pretty tough skin issues #hormonalacnelyf which I’ve worked hard to correct overtime. As a result I’ve become quite vigilant in my day to day practices never steering too far from routine.

So, when I decided to throw caution to the wind and replace my ENTIRE routine with the Aspect Dr range I did so with gritted teeth.

But for the sake of research and TBH blog content I took the plunge and changed every product in my skin routine. Having seen and heard so many positive reviews about Aspect Dr I was excited to take my skin on a new little journey. I believe it’s important to trial any new routine for a minimum of one month before passing judgement but I opted to double that to two months just to make sure 😉

When I first shared this range via Instagram story a few months back and my intention to trial I was undated with messages from ladies who either:

A. Had used the range before and were ‘saaah’ confident I’d love it

B. Ladies who had also heard amazing things about Aspect Dr and were dying to know how it was.

Well buckle up because you’re going to want to read this..

Having no major skin concerns or issues I opted for the ABC Essentials Kit which as a bonus is compact, easy to pack and air travel approved #winning. The Essential Kit is a skin management system containing 5 key products designed to work together to treat common skin conditions and concerns. Utilising key skin essential vitamins to treat aging skin.

It contains:

  • Deep Clean – Exfoliating Cleanser – 30ml
  • Exfol A Plus Serum – Vitaman A Serum – 15ml
  • Multi B Plus Serum – Vitaman B Serum – 15ml
  • Active C Serum – Vitaman C Serum – 15ml
  • Resveratrol Cream – Hydrating Moisturiser – 15g

Deep Clean – Exfoliating Cleanse

Starting with 2-3 metered pumps dispensed into palms and massaged on to skin for 30 seconds. I found this cleanser to have amazing exfoliating properties and thoroughly cleansed my face. It left my skin feeling fresh and worked well over the congested areas on my skin.

If removing making I always suggest using a pre cleanse prior as I prefer to keep exfoliating cleansers away from the delicate eye area

Multi B Plus Serum –  This baby promises to virtually turbocharge your current AspectDR products by infusing your skin with Multi B Vitamins and a patented blend of skin fortifying sea plants.

Active C Serum –  works by lightening and brightening an uneven complexion utilising a non-irritant, ph neutral form of Vitamin C. Containing high concentrates of natural derived botanicals and high octane cosmeceuticals providing firming and tightening benefits.

I LOVED these guys. Seriously they are worth their weight in gold. Both serums are used post cleanse and followed with moisturiser. I noticed a change in my skin immediately from the first use, my skin looked firmer brighter and more hydrated. I had become accustomed to the same products for so long I was shocked to see my skin physically glow in appearance. I think a huge change for me was the improvement texturally aswell, it felt smoother and more plump which can be attributed to the anti-aging properties.

Finally the

Resveratrol Cream

My favourite product of the entire range. The moisturing cream is applied post serum. It contains resveratrol an advanced anti-aging ingredient coupled with calming agents and peptides. I noticed immediately how nourishing an hydrating the cream was and how it left my skin soft and supple. It sealed in the serums perfectly and worked well to hydrate and moisturise my skin especially over night.

Note: I used the Exfol A Plus Serum on an off for the 2 month trial period but was careful to stop use for 7 days post in clinic dermal treatments.

Therefore wasn’t able to gage an clear view on how it worked for my Skin as my use wasn’t consistent . I did find it gentle and non irritating which is a lovely bonus for those beginning to use rentiol as apart of their night routine.

My verdict:

I BLOODY loved it!

I’m actually kicking myself for not switching things up sooner. I guess now I can see clearly that I was stuck in a bit of a skincare rut. I was constantly using products designed for acne concerns that I no longer had and never opened myself up to products that could improve and enhance my skin quality. But let me tell you the hype is real, I’m officially converted! My day to day routine has been shook and I’m excited to trial more from the Aspect Dr range.

I’m now finding myself switching back and forth between my old routine and Aspect Dr purely as breakouts occur as I know by old favourites will keep them at bay.

Ignorance is no longer bliss and it’s comforting to know I’ve got the power of choice.

Ladies, if you’re in a similar situation to me and looking to shake up your skincare game I cannot recommend the Aspect Dr range more highly. The proof is in the pudding and the fact they are now a permanent fixture for me says it all.

Sez Says 5/5

The Aspect Dr ABC Essential Kit– Retails for $195 and it’s a fantastic way to trial the range without committing to full size products.

Shiseido Sunday – Face Mask Edition

I have never been overly experimental with the whole ‘Face Mask’ game. I tend to keep things quite vanilla and have only ever used one or two brands before. My preference is usually something hydrating which absorbs straight into the skin requiring no wait time or need to wash off. I know boring right?

So with the release of Shiseido’s new WASO Purifying Peel Off Mask + Beauty Sleeping Mask I was ready to broaden my horizons.

Both masks are designed to combat the strain and stress of modern living, remove pollution leaving your skin revived and refresh.

Given it was a Sunday, I’m a Melbourne city gal AND I had a big work week ahead of me I was ready to Reset & Recharge.

First I tried The Purifying Peel Off Mask. It’s a pearl red mask designed to remove impurities and pollutants combating breakouts. Unclogging pores and leaving skin hydrated and smooth. It contains Red Shiso a Japanese herb renowned for its antioxidant benefits, which is a huge plus for me.

It appealed to me purely because of the vibrant red colour and the fact is was a ‘peel off mask’ the type I’d seen many ‘Insta gals’ rave about but had never actually tried myself.

I applied the mask, waited the designated 20 minutes then proceeded to find an edge to begin peeling it off. However I struggled to find an edge at first and began to freak out a little about how I would remove it. I was pacing back and forth, then began imagining what my life would be like with this mask permanently stuck to my face. Would people stare? Would I ever find a man to accept me face mask and all?

Then before I could get too ahead of myself it dried a little more and I found an edge, meltdown over #CrisisAdverted. Ive since realised upon review that I’d applied too much, so needed to wait a little longer for it to dry completely before removal. Once dry the mask peeled off seemlesly from my face and my skin felt noticeably clearer and less congested.

The second of the two The Beauty Sleeping Mask is an intensive moisturing mask infused with GreenYuzu, which nourishes skin while premoting production of hylauronic acid.

The Beauty Sleeping Mask was much more up my alley in terms of hydration, it’s less invasive and absorbs straight into the skin. I love the inclusion of Botanical Plankton Extract, an ingredient which aids the production of ATP reducing the effects of fatigue and lack of sleep. Because some days all the coffee in the world ain’t gonna brighten my eyes, so I welcome a little extra help.

The beauty sleeping mask is used at night before bed. Taking a small almond size amount applying it to skin, the gel is not removed and left on skin to allow it to work it’s magic benefits while you sleep. I woke up feeling hydrated and less puffy particularly around the eye area.

So after trialling both Shiseido masks yesterday if I had to choose, I think My pick would be the Beauty Sleeping Mask. I loved the cooling affect of the gel prior to sleep and really benefited from waking up without puffy eyes. I think it would be perfect prior to early morning starts or event to apply just before flying. However, that’s purely a personal preference, if you like something more unvaisive and active then the Purifying Peel Off Mask is perfect for that. While it’s not something I see myself routinely using, I find that it works well for spot targeting specific areas which are prone to congestion . For me that it usually the chin area, so it’s handy to know I have a mask which will work to help unclog my pores.

If you’re in need of some extra TLC on your next #SelfCareSunday, I suggestion popping into Myer or David Jones where each of these babies are now stocked.
